I grew up watching my mother—a talented floral designer and gifted gardener—select plants not only for their beauty, but for how they would thrive in a particular place. She understood instinctively how light, soil, water, and climate shape a garden, and she taught me to see plants as living design elements rather than simply decoration.

That curiosity stayed with me. I spent years experimenting, propagating, and learning through trial and error. I’ve planted plenty of things that flourished and more than a few that didn’t. I’ve found there’s truth in the saying that the best gardeners have killed the most plants. While I’ve read gardening books along the way, most of my education has come from hands-on experience, observation, and caring for plants through every stage of their lives.

When my family moved to North Texas in 2019, I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in an entirely new growing environment and learn what thrives here. Even now, I find immense joy in understanding not only what plants are beautiful, but what conditions allow them to truly flourish.

What fascinates me most isn’t just how plants look—it’s who they are. They’re living reminders that beauty isn’t static; it’s always becoming.

I’m a wife, mother of three, fifth-generation Texan, and lifelong creative.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating. Whether I was writing, making music, tending a rose garden, or designing a room, I’ve always been drawn to the process of making something beautiful.

Plants became the place where all of those passions came together.

Hi, I’m Haley.
